Job Description:

AECOM is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team.

As the Technical Manager (TM), you will be responsible for leading the work in the geotechnical engineering field. The projects will range from small assignments to being part of a large multidisciplinary project with our design team. As a TM, you will also work actively on more traditional responsibilities such as scheduling, finances, quality assurance, and risk management, to name a few.

We see it as an advantage that our Technical Managers also actively participate in the bidding process, allowing them to early influence how the assignment will be carried out and highlight the added value that AECOM brings to our projects.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting and significant infrastructure projects in Sweden within road and rail. We have a highly international environment, and English is used daily as we collaborate with colleagues worldwide (especially in Europe).

Responsibilities as a Technical Manager at AECOM:

• Representative for the bridge construction technical area towards the client and for construction documents within AECOM
• Identify and communicate overall customer requirements to the team and monitor by supervising and processing the implementation and reviewing compliance with the requirements
• Participate in meetings with the client
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the progress of technical areas in relation to the schedule and budget
• Identify and communicate project changes
• Monitor that the quality assurance process is followed and documented
• Active work on upselling in our projects and contribute to the development of the business
• Coordinate drawing production and work in 2D and 3D
• Guidance and review of design calculations
• Work on technical descriptions according to AMA
• Mentorship and supervision
• Support the management team with bidding work

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant university or civil engineering degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a technical manager
• At least 8 years of industry experience
• Excellent knowledge of English and Swedish in speech and writing
• Experience in preparing inquiries and construction documents for execution contracts according to AB04
• Good experience with ABK09

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in production, construction site monitoring, or similar construction experience
• Experience in preparing inquiries for turnkey contracts according to ABT06
• Experience in detailed design for contractors
• Worked on projects in early stages (investigation stage)
• Worked on projects with resources based in other countries
• Experience in building construction

Candidates with less than 5 years of experience as a technical manager/project manager are welcome to apply and will be considered for the role of design engineer.
