Retail media is the biggest digital trend since the appearance of social media. It's allabout leveraging customer data and digital platforms to offer targeted advertising opportunities within the retail environment, directly influencing consumer purchasing decisions at the point of sale. It represents a blend of e-commerce and advertising, where retailers monetize their online and physical spaces by enabling brands to reach shoppers more effectively. Of course, this is something we at Voyado want to offer our customers such as XXL, Apoteket Hjärtat, and Kicks.

This role isn't just about coding; it's about shaping the future of retail media. As one of the first members of our new Ad Experience team, you'll have the rare opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the development process – from technical discovery to deployment. Your insights and contributions will be instrumental in defining how we build, innovate, and ultimately succeed.

Join Mattias and Maciej in makinga real impact. As such, this position holds high strategic importance and you'll have the autonomy and support to drive initiatives forward andinfluence decision-making.

About the Role and day-to-day

As one of thefirst people in our Ad Experience team,your weeks are versatile. Whiteboard sessions, workshops, and tech discoveries to figure out what it is we should be focusing on and you'll architecture, writing code,and setting up pipelines to bring the team's ideas to life. You and the team will have to focus on developing and delivering the best experiences for our users. We do not strive to push out features as fast as possible but balance delivery with beta testing and user expectations.

And when the time comes when you need a break why don't you go and play games in our relaxation area like some pool, or ping pong or why not challenge our Åre office in Call of Duty on our PlayStation 5?

So, who are you?

You have a genuine interest in tech, you like to try new ways and share your skills and knowledge with your team. We also believe you are a real doer and humble team player.

  • Strong knowledge of Java
  • Basic knowledge of AWS, e.g. setting up S3 buckets
  • A couple of yearsof professional experience in backend application development
  • College degree or bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, alternatively a comparable industry career.
  • and most importantly, passion for what you do
