Data, just as safety, is key for how Zenseact develops software for self-driving cars. Gb/s streams in cars quickly accumulate to petabytes of data in our data centers. The challenge of handling and processing this vast amount of data is immense — this is where you come in.

Insights from the team

In team Totoro, we build Zenseact's data infrastructure. We focus on data pipelines for ingestion, transfer, and messaging across our data toolchain.

As an autonomous team, we have the freedom and trust to make decisions about our products and our way of working. We readily involve our System Architect, Product Owner, and Engineering Manager in strategic discussions or if we require assistance driving an initiative. We are constantly adapting our way of working to increase our speed and achieve our goals. Within our team, we have an open and social environment - collaboration is a key value for us.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

Join our data processing and high-performance computing groups, where you will have an important part in strengthening the Zenseact data platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing custom data toolchains in Python and deploying them to Kubernetes clusters.
  • Evaluating, deploying, and tailoring standard off-the-shelf tools and frameworks to fit our unique environment.
  • Collaborating closely with teams and partners to boost the functionality and efficiency of our data platform.

Qualifications & experience

Essential experience

  • Proven experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in a Linux environment.
  • Experience with Python programming.
  • Knowledge of containerization platforms like Docker.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud technologies.
  • High skills in shell scripting and POSIX-based file systems.
  • Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch.
  • Experience creating pipelines using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
