MacGregor is currently seeking an enthusiastic Technical Trainer to join their team.

As a Technical Trainer, you will take the lead in providing engaging product line training to both internal and external customers globally. Your responsibilities will include empowering the service network, customers, and partner network with high-quality technical support and product training. Join us and become a key player in fostering expertise worldwide.

The preferred location for this role is Sweden, Poland, or any MacGregor GSD (Global Services Division) location in Europe.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training courses and materials for the designated product(s) at various technical levels
  • Plan and conduct training sessions for internal and external customers worldwide (in classrooms, online, and on equipment)
  • Aid in the development and implementation of modern and advanced training tools to enhance training effectiveness
  • Continuously review and enhance training content, materials, and methodologies
  • Oversee certification processes for service personnel according to OPM standards
  • Maintain accurate technical competence data for service engineers in the system
  • Train local frontline trainers on the relevant product line as required

Requirements for Success

Education

  • Hold an academic degree in engineering at the Bachelor level or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum of five years of experience in shipbuilding, the marine industry, or related business/product fields
  • Technical background or familiarity with MacGregor products
  • Preferably, experience in a technical/commercial role in a service environment
  • Experience in field service roles is advantageous

Competencies

  • Demonstrated technical expertise and product knowledge related to the designated product line
  • Understanding of the technical and operational applications of marine and offshore equipment
  • Familiarity with classification societies' requirements, service processes, and documentation standards
  • Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to share knowledge effectively through technical writing and presentations
  • Proficiency in developing and refining training materials, planning and conducting courses, and providing instruction

You must be customer-focused, results-driven, and adept at communication and collaboration at all levels.
