As a Project Quality Manager, you will oversee and manage quality activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to approved plans and maintaining effective communication with contractors and internal teams. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and managing project quality construction activities in line with approved quality plans.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with contractors and internal teams.
  • Providing key performance indicators (KPIs) for project reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining a robust Request for Information (RFI) and Non-Conformance Information (NFI) system to support inspections as required by Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Managing and coordinating QAQC Supervisors, Test Pack Engineers, QAQC Welding Engineers, and inspectors across various disciplines and project areas.
  • Leading the resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs), focusing on root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Coordinating quality matters at the Project Management Team and project supervisor levels.
  • Chairing and documenting regular QA meetings with contractors and site QAQC teams, and leading project quality management reviews.
  • Participating in project closeout activities to ensure the closure of all quality-related actions.
  • Implementing a structured approach to systems handover and project completion.
  • Coordinating quality matters at the site construction and management team levels.
  • Overseeing the handover of quality records on a system-by-system basis.
  • Collaborating with Swedish personnel and adhering to Swedish codes of practice.
  • Ensuring familiarity with relevant regulations and directives, including CE marking of equipment, PED 2014/68/EU, European Directives for Machinery, and ATEX Directive.
  • Maintaining familiarity with codes related to civil works, concrete testing, welding procedures, piping, NDT of welds, boilers, vessels, and tank standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 16+ years in project quality management during the construction and handover phases of large-scale projects.
  • Skills:
    • Thorough understanding of quality principles, regulatory quality systems, and internal business processes.
    • Substantial experience and qualifications in large construction projects, commissioning, and completions.
    • Excellent written and oral English skills.
    • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and installations.
    • Familiarity with CE marking PED 97/23/CE or 2014/68/EC and Machinery Directives.
    • Knowledge of European norms and standards, Pressure Vessel Codes.
    • Strong organizational and planning skills.
    • Excellent work and personal ethics, including trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy.
    • Exceptional ability to build trust and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the construction.

Requirements:

  • 16+ years of experience in project quality management during the construction and handover phases.
  • In-depth understanding of quality principles, regulatory systems, and internal business processes.
  • Extensive experience in large construction projects, commissioning, and completions.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proven success in managing large-scale projects and installations.
  • Familiarity with CE marking PED 97/23/CE or 2014/68/EC and Machinery Directives.
  • Knowledge of European standards and Pressure Vessel Codes.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • High ethical standards, including trustworthiness, commitment, and empathy.
  • Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with all parties involved in the construction.
