About this opportunity
Welcome to High Risk Work Out. The mission for our team is to reach the best outcomes in high risk situations. We use experience in complex restructuring, negotiations and credit management and utilise customer, industry and legal knowledge to drive restructuring cases. We build and develop our know how in restructuring field and respective in-house and external networks to expediate application of strategies and solutions in distressed situations. We bring independence and empower the team to achieve right momentum in negotiations.
Creating workout strategies, laying out the roadmap for actions and putting in place appropriate solutions – requires the workout team to navigate through a high degree of complexity with different scenarios, alternatives, options, and to consider a balance of risks and incentives. Every case is different and stakes are high, thus almost each step in the process requires careful and extensive analysis, synthesis of complex issues and dimensions.
We need a talented and driven Associate who will work alongside workout and restructuring managers supporting them with high quality analysis, evaluations and presentations that are to be used in internal and external decision making and negotiations.
What you'll be doing :
Analyse financial statements, business plans, liquidity forecasts, credit profiles and collateral Prepare detailed reports and create high quality presentations for internal and external stakeholders Conduct in-depth financial modelling supporting structuring, evaluation of different workout strategies and actions Create financial models optimizing capital structures and incentives between different creditor and capital classes Evaluate and model run-off, wind down, liquidation and bankruptcy strategies Work with customer/advisors' prepared models to identify sensitivities, prepare stress tests and scenarios Integrate scenario analysis with loss estimations, ratings, and impact on capital and returns Support credit risk analysis of selected and more complex workout cases, hereunder prepare loss estimates Stay up to date with market, regulatory trends and industry developments in restructuring Contribute to workout and high risk credit processes, in order to maintain and expand our professional reputation and great customer relationship Cooperate with relevant stakeholders and contribute actively in Group Credit Risk's strategically important activities and developments, in order to further improve the credit management operating modelYou'll join a team of senior and experienced workout managers with a dedication to achieve the best solution for Nordea and other stakeholders in distressed situations. We are looking to expand our team in Finland but welcome applicants from the other Nordic countries.

Your experience and background :
Bachelor's or Master's degree within finance, economics, or related field Excellent command of the MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint) Knowledge of risk management, corporate credit granting and the credit process Experience in restructuring and workout/Corporate Finance/M&A is a big advantage Understanding of credit documentation and the legal frameworks related to insolvency/restructuring is a merit Fluent written and spoken English is a must and fluency in one the four main Nordic languages is a meritIf this sounds like you, get in touch
