What you'll do as an Embedded Software Engineer:

As an embedded software engineer at Axis, you will spearhead the software design and implementation within a product, which includes:

  • Developing software using C for Linux embedded systems.
  • Developing software using C for MCU (Bare-Metal or using FreeRTOS).
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate hardware for the product (in collaboration with the hardware team).
  • Utilizing Git, Gerrit, and GitHub for revision control and review.
  • Creating test cases in Python.
  • Designing web-based user interfaces using Typescript and React.

You will be involved in the project from the conceptual phase to the product launch in the market. The project duration typically ranges from 6 months to 2 years. Within our project teams, we closely collaborate with mechanical engineers, electronics engineers, and other internal functions like quality, production, and sourcing, some of which are located in Lund.

Our hardware development team in Linköping is in its early stages, and you will play a crucial role in the evolution of an expanding organization that retains a startup vibe within a large and stable corporation. The team focuses on enhancing existing products and innovating new product categories in line with Axis' expansion goals.

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced software engineer with a strong drive, a profound technical curiosity, and a passion for product advancement. You thrive on challenges, enjoy collaborative problems solving, possess a positive outlook, and embody exceptional teamwork.

The following would also be valuable:

  • Proficiency in interpreting HW schematics.
  • Familiarity with Typescript and React.
  • Experience with Yocto and systemd.
