We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Warranty Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Quality Compliance, specifically the Warranty Management team based in Skellefteå. Reporting to the Warranty Manager, you will play a critical role in upholding product reliability, streamlining warranty processes, and driving continuous improvement. Your proficiency in warranty management, solid data investigation skills, and grasp of quality assurance philosophy will be crucial in our pursuit of delivering quality products while exceeding customer expectations.

About The Job

As a Warranty Engineer at Northvolt, you'll be responsible for enhancing the warranty process, from initiating claims to effective resolutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality, you'll delve into warranty claims, identify root causes, and assist in implementing corrective measures. Leveraging your strong data investigation skills and familiarity with quality tools, you'll discern trends, patterns, and opportunities to elevate product quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Support the optimization of the warranty process, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to meticulously investigate and analyse warranty claims, pinpoint root causes, and contribute to implementing corrective actions.
  • Apply solid data testing techniques and quality tools to discern trends and contribute meaningfully to improving product quality.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining documentation and reporting systems to track warranty claims, resolutions, and associated costs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reliability, and warranty performance.
  • Work with suppliers to address warranty-related issues and contribute to corrective actions as required.
  • Maintain awareness of warranty-related regulations and customer requirements, adhering to compliance standards.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on warranty performance and improvement endeavours to the Director of Quality Compliance and senior management.
  • Stay informed about customer, and industry trends and best practices in warranty management to support process development.

The ideal candidate possesses a good understanding of warranty management, solid data investigation skills, and a familiarity with quality assurance concepts. Your eagerness to contribute to product quality improvement and reliability enhancement is evident. Your meticulous attention to detail, proactive learning approach, and adept problem-solving abilities enable you to contribute to warranty investigations and identify potential areas for enhancement.

Your strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams enable seamless interaction in a multifaceted environment. You excel at managing tasks under moderate pressure, ensuring warranty claims are addressed promptly.

We Believe That You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Solid grasp of warranty management processes, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in warranty processes, data investigation, and quality tools.
  • Enthusiasm for investigating warranty claims, identifying root causes, and contributing constructively to corrective actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive learning attitude.
  • Effective communication skills and an aptitude for successful collaboration within cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage tasks under moderate pressure and navigate multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with warranty-related regulations and customer requirements.
