MEP Lead – Commercial Construction – Hyper-scale Data Centre Project – Stockholm
This role represents a great opportunity for an experienced MEP Lead to secure their next permanent role. Our client is a well-established commercial construction company based in Dublin with this project being based in Stockholm, Sweden. They have enjoyed continued growth for many years.
As a result, this company has an urgent requirement for an experienced MEP Lead to join their team on a full-time basis to successfully deliver a hyper-scale data centre project in Stockholm.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
- Make suitable changes to design to improve cost efficiency, ease construction programme, and to enhance specification and quality completion
- Display commercial astuteness
- Monitor construction, regarding quality of workmanship and materials
- Coordinate and liaise with contracts manager, site engineers and other discipline leads to ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have timely and accurate information
- Check and ensure understanding of drawings and specifications. Ensure that any errors/omissions are formally communicated to the design team in a timely manner
- Establish project resource requirements and lead and motivate the project team
- Oversee highest quality of health and safety
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong knowledge of procurement
- Strong experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing
- Proven ability in leading an MEP team
- Previous experience working on Data Centre projects would be preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
