• Who we are:
  At (Vehicle Engineering), we consider working with geometrical architecture a creative and rapid process. Our engineers at Volvo Group concentrate on overcoming technical product challenges without being hindered by development tools or processes. This approach enables us to introduce new products to the market faster than our competitors.
• We, within the Vehicle Architecture team, a segment of the Vehicle Engineering department, lead geometrical packaging studies on components to assist product owners in identifying optimal installations in trucks. This effort helps establish the best platform and truck architecture in our vehicles.
• As part of our daily operations, we closely collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify the most effective concepts for constructing future trucks.

• Your future team:
  Comprised of seventeen members, the team primarily focuses on geometrical packaging studies while also addressing aspects like Load Capacity, Fire Safety, and Vehicle Dimensions. We are a diverse group of skilled engineers with various backgrounds and experiences, ranging from engine installation experts to radar & sensor installation specialists. Some team members are seasoned professionals, while others are at the beginning of their careers. Our success thrives on team spirit and a collaborative atmosphere.

• What you will do:
  As a Geometrical Architect, your role involves leading packaging studies and supporting engineers in finding optimal solutions that align with Operations and Aftermarket needs.
• We require a team member who can guide product updates by spearheading packaging studies from early phases, with a primary focus on initial studies. This entails cross-functional collaboration with engineers, manufacturing representatives, aftermarket personnel, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Who you are:
  We envision you as an individual with a welcoming demeanor who enjoys networking to accomplish tasks. Your ability to plan, organize, and handle multiple responsibilities concurrently is vital in this role to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. You possess a willingness to learn and grow alongside your colleagues. Goal orientation and strong communication skills are crucial for successful collaboration. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential for this position.

• We believe you have the following knowledge and experience:
• In this role, we expect you to have:
  
  - Approximately 3-5 years of CAD experience, preferably in Creo (or Catia)
  - Some years of experience in the Truck/Automotive industry
  - A Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related field (within the Truck/Automotive industry)

• It is also advantageous if you have:
  
  - Familiarity with Volvo's unique systems such as KOLA, EDB
  - Proficiency in managing component complexities and variations
  - Experience in packaging within the wheelbase and/or powertrain installation
  - Previous involvement in geometrical architecture work.
