Are you Bluestep Banks new Senior Financial Controller and work closely with the Head of Finance, the Finance, Risk and Treasury team and work with Segment Reporting, Financial Instrument Accounting, Transfer Pricing and Taxes? Then this position might be right for you.

As a Senior Financial Controller at Bluestep Bank, you will get the opportunity to focus on financial instruments and hedge accounting, segment reporting, analysis of actual results, tax and indirect tax, and be responsible for strategic tax planning, calculation and compliance to direct and indirect tax laws in the jurisdictions where the bank operates.

You will have the opportunity to work with Transfer Pricing and be responsible for the annual review and update of relevant transfer pricing documentation for the three tax jurisdictions. The review of payroll will fall within your responsibility, including assistance with analysis and budgeting for staff costs, together with HR and Business Control.

Key Responsibilites:

  • Accounting for financial instruments and hedge accounting, working closely with Treasury.
  • Monthly and annual calculation, accounting and financial and regulatory reporting for direct and indirect tax, deferred tax.
  • Control over segment reporting, internal charges, non-recurring items, assistance with analysis of actual results and close contact with Business Control.
  • Owner of the group transfer pricing process and ensuring that internal practices comply with the transfer pricing policies and requirements.
  • Review of interim and annual reports.
  • Supporting and driving initiatives to improve the internal control environment on financial reporting and financial control of the bank.
  • Other ad-hoc finance related tasks in a changing environment.
  • Assistance with the building of processes relating to sustainability reporting.

Personality:

You can demonstrate and understand he commercial business and is capable of developing good working relationships with individuals at the bank. Apart from being communicative, taking initiative, and working hands-on, you are down to earth and enjoy a changing environment where it is important to raise questions if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in finance and accounting
  • 5+ years of experience within financial services / Auditing, Financial accounting advisory services
  • Knowledge of financial instruments, hedge accounting, expected credit losses in terms of IFRS9 and an understanding of customer behavior and the impact on stage migration in provisions against the loan portfolio
  • A deep understanding of IFRS, accounting principles, regulatory developments on banks, and grasping the impact of changes on accounting, tax, reporting and the control environment
  • Experience in working with groups / segments and
  • Experience with direct-and indirect tax and transfer pricing
  • Advanced MS Office skills and particularly Excel
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
  • An interest in understanding systems and how they work that are used in the finance function
