This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher Scientific, IDD develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma, and autoimmune diseases.

With 1,900 employees worldwide working with these products, and 1,000 in Sweden, we are the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.

A day in the Life:

• Drive and handle timely and highquality relations with Global Business Services (GBS), a shared service center located in Paisley and Budapest. Responsible for ensuring that the GBS service levels are met or exceeded on behalf of IDD Uppsala (Phadia group companies).
• Retained activities and tasks in Accounting Uppsala.
• Key local resource in support of annual audits, tax and SOX audits, and any other audits in relation to the group companies.
• SAP Capital expenditure management in IDD Uppsala.
• Lead and take part in other financial tasks and projects as required.
• Analytical support to various functions in the organization.
• Initiate and drive efficiency and improve daily operations and business support.
• Maintain accurate internal controls over financial reporting, including Sunshine Act Reporting, Medtech Reporting and fulfilling SOX requirements.

Keys to Success:

• Bachelor Degree in Economics and Business Administration
• Good accounting skills.
• 35 years of work experience from similar role.
• Experience from working in an international organization is a merit.
• Candidate will demonstrate senior proficiency in the following areas: financial reporting, internal control, analysis and technical accounting knowledge.
• Good written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required.
• Ability to balance multiple assignments, has good judgment, and prioritizes projects and time efficiently.
• Good skills with MS Excel, SAP and HFM are required.
