To ensure continuous growth and become a leader in the European consumer billing market we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team.

About the role:

As a Legal Counsel at Billogram you will play a crucial role in supporting our business, addressing a wide range of legal issues that affect various aspects of our company. Your expertise will help us navigate the complex legal landscape, ensuring compliance and supporting our growth and innovation. By ensuring legal compliance and mitigating risks, you will contribute significantly to the company's stability and growth.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Provide ongoing legal support to the organization
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of different agreements
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate compliance issues and risks, including for example performing GDPR analyses on our suppliers
  • Assist the organization in the development of new products and services
  • Participate in the development of internal policy documents
  • Collaborate with other legal team members and external partners in different legal matters
  • Stay updated on legal developments affecting our industry and advise on implications
What we are looking for:

As a person, you are a committed self-starter who works hard and remains focused until desired goals are achieved and even though difficulties arise on the way. You work well with other people and are responsive and attentive to the views of others but at the same time you are not afraid to express your own opinion.

In addition, you are stable in uncertain situations, quickly adapting to new challenges and effectively solving problems as they arise.

Your proactive approach, communication skills and ability to find new solutions will drive your success in this role.

Skills & traits which will help you succeed in this role:
  • Relevant work experience working as an in-house legal counsel or at a law firm (1-3 years)
  • University degree in law is a requirement
  • Experience and knowledge of GDPR is a plus
  • Previous work within the payments sector is beneficial
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, changing environment is advantageous
  • Understanding of and interest in IT and tech is a plus
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal, is a requirement. Fluency in German is a plus.
