We are now looking to appoint a summer worker for the Detector Group for the NSS division.

The Detector Group team is responsible for installing various neutron detectors and readout electronics for the instruments at ESS.

About the work


As summer worker as Workshop Technician your main areas of work will be, under close supervision, to assist scientists and staff in the installation of varied electronics components into cabinets/racks and fabrication of interconnecting cables.

About you

A suitable background for this work would be:

  • Some familiarity with basic hand tools used in electronics work (screwdrivers, crimpers, etc.)
  • Good written and oral communications skills in English

Duration & Location
The position is a summer work position, of 8 weeks.

Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.

Start date
Planned start date is July, 2024.
