The Failure Investigation team belongs to the department of Technical Operations and consists of approx. 20 people. The team is responsible for investigation of quality issues in manufacturing and solving problems related to product performance.

As Failure Investigation Scientist you support ongoing production with root cause analysis and investigations on various types of failures. The position includes variable tasks such as root cause analysis, improvement projects, laboratory tasks as well as report writing. This function also supports other departments with expertise and knowledge as well as communicate recommendations in due time. The position requires great skills in collaboration, a high degree of flexibility and strong customer focused attitude.

In this role, you will:

Support manufacturing in investigations of product or process failures. Drive failure investigation elevated from customer complaints, statistical process trending or stability studies. Support improvement projects coming out from root cause investigations. Design and executes experiments as part of investigations and improvement projects. Continuously document progress during investigations or projects and prepares final reports. Lead brainstorming and other root cause analysis techniques. Analyze historical data to identify abnormal trends and performs failure trending and analysis on key performance metrics of various products and compiles data for team review.

The essential requirements of the job include:

MSc in Molecular Biology or similar Life Sciences with minimum of 0-2 years work experience. Laboratory experience Experience in troubleshooting complex systems in a scientific environment Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written) Combined knowledge of biology and chemistry techniques.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Working in a highly regulated industry Working in the medical device industry
