We are now looking to expand the team with a Credit Controller with expertise in AR and Collections based in Stockholm to chase the dream with us.

The essence of the role

As Credit Controller you will assist in improving and maintaining a ledger where we "net" AR and AP balances for a percentage of our customers, who are also our suppliers, whilst chasing any remaining credit balances on these accounts and balances on our “standard” customer accounts. 85% of the overall ledger will involve overseeing the "netting" process and 15% of the role will be a more standard credit collections role.

You will report to the Global AR & Collections Manager based in London.

As Credit Controller, you will:

  • Collaborating with the internal Accounts Payable, Cogs and Revenue teams to ensure the netting process runs smoothly
  • Following up with the internal teams on any queries / missing supplier invoices / unapproved invoices etc.
  • Working closely with the AP team to ensure processing of supplier Invoices for netting purposes
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Checking contracts to ensure we are contractually obliged to complete netting
  • Ensuring company credit policy is adhered to
  • Collaborating with the different sales teams
  • Providing cash collection forecasts and making weekly adjustments
  • Mitigate any risks to the business, escalating both internally and externally where appropriate
  • Weekly and monthly debtor reporting to various stakeholders
  • Daily posting and allocating of incoming cash
  • Ad hoc duties and projects as required

Who are you?

For this position we are looking for an experienced Credit Controller who is resilient and thrives in a progressive and ever-changing environment.

In order to be successful in this role, we believe you have:

  • Experience: Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in commercial environments preferably one of which must be international credit, dealing with a variety of global clients. Experience with multi-currency AR transactions. Familiarity within the Telecom business is a plus.
  • Skills: Focussed on delivery of company KPIs, working to deadlines. Good account reconciliation skills and strong attention to details. Strong Excel and reporting skills. Big Plus is knowledge in AP, but not essential.
  • Person specification: Ability to remain calm under pressure. A good understanding of how to prioritise tasks and execute them efficiently. A team player but can organise your job by yourself. Ability to adapt to ongoing process and system changes. Ability to drive improvements within your responsibility area.
  • Communication/interpersonal skills: Strong interpersonal and communicational skills to build relationships. Must be confident and assertive. Collaboration skills to effectively manage internal departments and external customers.
