Then this may be the job for you In this role you will be a resource within Production Technology Maintenance and support our production department on automation and electrical topics.

As a Maintenance Automation Engineer at NKT youll be a part of the Production Technology Maintenance team in Karlskrona; well experienced in maintenance, automation and electrical services. In Karlskrona we have a state of the art manufacturing facility for manufacturing high voltage and extra high voltage power cables, the largest HVDC test lab in the world and Victoria, our cable laying vessel.

In this role, you will lead and participate in troubleshooting of automation and electrical problems as they relate to our production systems; you will also provide an important support function to our production team.

To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge and expertise in both automation and electrical design as well as on machine directives and other standards. You will play an important part in supporting automation aspects of the Production Technology Maintenance department.

Your primary tasks will be: 

PLC programming and electrical design for machines and production equipment.
Continuous improvements of our machine automation optimized for production. 
Troubleshoot automation circuits & electrical circuits (advanced faults)
Support our industrial electricians regarding troubleshooting of our automation systems
LCA & RCA are some tools youll be working with
Using habits of start-ups for frequency converters or plc devices

Additionally, your CV should show: 

Solid experience in automation engineering, programming and project from any producing industry
Knowledge in Eplan, ABB, Siemens and other automation software
Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English is required
