Patent Administrator

Do you want to be our next administrator in our Case Management team?

About us

Rouse was established in the UK in 1990, and is recognised as a global Intellectual Property leader operating as a closely integrated network with more than 700 people working out of 18 offices in 12 jurisdictions.

We focus exclusively on IP, from strategic consulting, patents and trade marks through to domain names, copyright, designs and geographical indications. And we’re experts in providing services for each stage of their life cycle.

We have a deep understanding of all jurisdictions around the world and a strong focus on more challenging markets such as Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Most importantly, we’re passionate about IP and enjoy working with clients who share that passion. We put clients at the heart of our business and build long standing relationships. From large multinationals that want our scale, quality and professionalism, to start ups that value our entrepreneurial spirit, the companies we work with come from a broad range of sectors with diverse business interests and needs.

Your tasks

In the role of Patent Administrator you will have a varied and responsible job. You will work both independently and in a team and in close cooperation with our patent consultants. In this position you will correspond with both Swedish and foreign clients as well as agents and authorities. This will involve preparing documents before they are delivered to the Patent Office, communicating with external parties internationally, registering documents and monitoring them in our internal system Patricia. Report writing will be in both Swedish and English. Placement at client's premises may occur.

Who are you?

As for your personal qualities, we value your ability to cooperate and communicate. You should be customer-oriented and value and nurture our customer relationships. If you are also humble, meticulous, good at prioritising and like to have fun at work, you are the right person for us.

Qualifications/Experience

You should have five years of work experience as a patent administrator, preferably in a patent department or in another consulting company. We assume that you are fluent in Swedish and English and would like you to have knowledge of another language. If you have completed paralegal training or have worked with trademarks, this would be an advantage. You will have experience of client contact and the ability to work to deadlines, and we would like to see you have experience of running projects. If you are also interested in IT, we see this as a great advantage.

Rouse goal is to be the most sought-after employer in the IP industry. A strong contributor to our success in attracting skilled and ambitious people is that we work for many of the most professional and demanding clients in the market. We have high expectations of all our employees. This attitude does not prevent us from understanding the importance for everyone in the company to find a healthy work-life balance. Going to work should be fun and the motivation should be the satisfaction of doing a good job, having satisfied customers and having the opportunity for personal development. Rouse offers skills development and for those who are new to their roles we have a mentoring programme.
