Job Description

H&M Studios create fashion content for H&M’s full assortment globally, such as model images, product images and video assets. As a Photographer Specialist you will ensure an effective and consistent workflow across our high-volume product photo production. This includes ensuring technical standards, equipment set up and creative alignment across photo stations. You will also work operationally and produce elevated product images, working with the photography process from start to finish. You will be responsible for installing, calibrating, rigging and day-to-day maintenance of the photography equipment and managing several productions at the same time.   

Key responsibilities:   

  • Support in weekly and daily operations through planning of studio space/stations and resources. 
  • Ensure that photo stations and equipment are fully functional and set up according to standards and guidelines. 
  • Ensure high quality and consistency in images i.e. color correctness, light, grid, and retouch comments according to creative direction.  
  • Work operationally as a Product Photographer. 
  • Collaborate and have continuous dialogue with key stakeholders such as Photographers, Retouch Specialist, Stylists and Creative Leads. 
  • Develop and coach Photographers in guidelines, processes, and ways of working. 
  • Technically support/consult in the production process. 
  • Participate in or lead different improvement projects that support our department strategy. 

Qualifications

To be successful in this role we believe that you are self-driven and action oriented, an active team member who enjoys developing and improving things. You value high quality in image delivery yet don’t get stuck in too much detail. Seeing the bigger picture and moving forward in a fast-paced production is nothing new to you. You thrive in a creative environment and are used to juggling different tasks at the same time. Since collaboration is a key element of your day-to-day work, you work effectively with others and communicate in a constructive way. We believe you have an adaptable and flexible work approach and are used to making decisions. 

What you need to succeed:  

  • Several years of experience in commercial studio photography, preferably high-volume production.  
  • Proven experience of the fashion industry.
  • Experience of still life photography as well as pre-production and post-production steps.   
  • Strong knowledge of lighting techniques and camera equipment.  
  • Fluency in Capture One software and Adobe Photoshop.  
  • Leadership skills and experience.
