Summer temp position – Lab

In the role, the lab person will fulfill an important function in continuously analyzing adjustments that need to be made in production, as well as carrying out these adjustments. One will in certain moments be responsible for which measures and decisions are taken and will be an important cog in the production functioning. This takes place in close verbal and written communication with operations operators, logistics personnel and process engineers and one is also expected to be involved in ensuring the quality of the raw material used, as well as that the final product achieves the highest standard. You will also be involved and help with, for example, orders, preparation of instruments and tools.

Description of position

•To analyze and handle product samples for quality testing
•To calculate and announce to the production department necessary adjustments based on performed analyses.
•To approve and register finished products, raw materials and deliveries that meet given specifications.
•To prepare instrument routines and instructions according to ISO 9000.
•To perform calibrations and handle preventative maintenance on lab equipment for which you are responsible for and ensure that the instruments are serviced according to ISO 9000.
•Prepare required reagents
•To participate in various investigations
•Participate at on the job required training and other training established by management
•Non-conformance reporting


Experience recommended from working in an analytical and chemical lab environment, (e.g. analysis and preparation for GC, HPLC, Viscosity, pH, Dry content, Density etc ). Experience can also come from laboratory work during education.

Due to frequent verbal communication, one must be fluent in Swedish and good at English.

Requirements

Requirements

·         Degree from or Ongoing Chemistry training (higher learning, examples: analytical chemistriy, organic/inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry etc)

·         Language skills: Fluent in Swedish and at least reading comprehension in English.

·         Computer usage experience

Qualifications

·         Degree or on the way to a degree in chemical engineering in analytical chemistry or equivalent

·         Be able to work Independently and in shifts

·         Organized

·         Meticulous

·         Have analytical ability

·         The ability to collaborate with others within the company 

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Familiar with Word and Excel

•Awareness of most used international standards and norms required for business certification (ISO9001, Responsible care 14001, ISO14001, ISO45001, GMP) is a plus.

Benefits

Hours/Shift schedule:

Morning: Monday-Thursday 5:45-14:15 and Friday 08:45-18:00

Night: Monday-Thursday 21:45-06:15

Afternoon: Monday-Thursday 13:45-22:15

Salary level

Starting point 25 000SEK/month base pay

Remarks

There is a lot of communication done verbally with different departments, hence being able to speak comprehensively in Swedish is crucial. Also, since English is the corporate language this is also needed for training and communication.

There are very limited possibilities to commute by using trains and busses regionally – does not align with the shift schedules very well any more. You either need your own transportation or live nearby during the weeks.
