About us & our vision

In this role as Component Engineer, you will be joining a dedicated team that on a day-to-day basis make a real impact in the business. The team works in close collaboration with colleagues within other departments, but also in close alignment with our strategic initiatives, enabling change for Husqvarna through their work. You will be working in a global context, but in a very flat organization with close decision making. At Husqvarna you are working together with colleagues and partners from all over the world and you will have great development opportunities - enabling personal and professional growth.

We offer you the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in a number of component areas. You will act as a key person and network globally in order to form a component flora within Husqvarna AB that is standardized and commercially viable. What you will do  

You will in this role act as central hub in the field of component engineering in the specific commodity portfolio, with lot of internal and external stakeholders, such as R&D, Commodity Manager’s in Sourcing, Suppliers and Supplier Quality.

You will also:

Design-support in projects Seek out data for the implementation of data for standard components. Run standardization projects in mechanics, electronics and electrical mechanics globally. Participate in Component Forums Train designers in standardization and systems management. Knowledge of legal requirements for components

We believe that you have several years’ experience of working within electronics engineering/design and have an academic education in electronics / embedded systems.

You have some ability to understand fundamental design processes, BOMs and have a good understanding within your field. It’s an extra plus if you have experience of purchasing work regarding electronics components, or a comparable area.

As a person, you are a structured, analytics and self-motivated team player with good communication and interpersonal skills, who likes to work with both internal and external stakeholders. You have the ability to independently manage the product maintenance flow to ensure optimal results. You are Service minded and solution oriented, thou acting with integrity.

You have good knowledge of drawing techniques and navigation among international standards and master the Office programs with deeper knowledge in Excel and/or other analytics software’s.

English language skills are required.

Location: Huskvarna, with the ability to work remotely a few days a week.
