We are now looking for our next leader to join our R&D organization in Solna, Stockholm.

Getinge Critical Care R&D develop and maintain advanced medical devices such as ventilators, anesthesia machines and advanced hemodynamic monitoring. We are right now in the middle of a transformation into a more effective and agile organization and need the leaders to take us to the next level. We are looking for you who can successfully lead and develop one of our agile and crossfunctional teams, but also be a driver and inspire change in the entire organization. To thrive in this position, you love to lead teams through organizational changes.

You will report to the Director of Design and Development, Critical Care. 

What you will do

Team manager for two cross-functional development teams (approximately 20 engineers delivering complete solutions including both SW and HW.  Team lead for one of the teams focusing on software deliveries. Being a change leader and a key driver when we are developing our newly launched R&D organization towards ownership, drive, and engagement.  Constantly driving improvements to shorten lead times, fostering innovation and delivering high quality solutions to our customers. Our teams take full ownership of a delivery and deliver according to their commitments.

Our products are complex medical devices that need extensive cooperation between engineering disciplines and other functions. In your role, you need to drive and encourage cross-functional cooperation in all stages of the development cycle. 

Although the majority of the organization is based in Stockholm, you will work in an international environment with development teams in Europe, USA and Asia.

What you will bring

To be successful in this role we believe you have the following background: 

M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electronics or Mechatronic. Leadership experience within R&D Experience from agile methodology within product development and driving change work within an organization. Mindset to always develop and improve productivity and internal work.  Solid experience in software development and/or leadership of embedded Linux systems.  Engagement for platform development and cybersecurity. Experience in MedTech or another regulated sector is beneficial.  Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and oral.  Fluent in Swedish and English. Other foreign languages are beneficial.

You have great organizational, prioritization and decision-making skills. We also hope you have a curious mindset and are willing to develop and improve our organization.
