What you will do

As a Weight Architect you will be working with Load Capacity on complete vehicle level for FH/FM/FMx products which requires you to be active early on in the change initiative to impact solutions on components or systems. You will contribute to our weight road map, keep it up to date, communicate road map as well as propose changes to improve the load capacity. The role also includes collaboration with our weight network which involves interaction with a wide range of different stakeholders on our site in Gothenburg as well as on other sites.

You will work cross functionally with engineers and geometrical architects to give them the right pre-requisites for their projects. You will be supporting all areas within Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) and in some cases supporting other AB Volvo business areas. You collaborate with our weight network meeting to find weight reduction ideas, initiate the ideas and monitor implementation and with other weight architects to collect and monitor weight development and give input to the road map. You will support engineers in material and installation questions for a component or system.

Furthermore, this position includes:

Competitor analysis.Performance review, i.e. review target fulfilment of Load Capacity.Participate / Lead our cross site networkDevelop our tools and way of working around weight
