For this position you need to have strong collaborative and communication skills as well as being able to plan, initiate and execute your own work. The role as Scientist In vivo pharmacology is a permanent position where you report to the Senior Director In vivo Pharmacology & Toxicology.
As Scientist In vivo pharmacology your responsibilities and activities will include, but are not limited to:
• Coordinate breeding, genotyping and characterization of preclinical models.
• Actively contribute with technical and theoretical knowledge to design, plan, coordinate and perform preclinical in vivo studies internally or through external collaborations/contract labs.
• Independently act as Study Director for internal in vivo studies.
Required qualifications:
• Education in Animal science or corresponding qualifications
• Experience from designing, planning and performing in vivo studies
• Experience of different routes of administration (IV, IP, SC)
• Experience of in vivo procedures (blood sampling, CSF collection, perfusion and tissue dissection)
• Fluent written and spoken English
• FELASA Function A level competence or equivalent
Additional merits:
• Experience of genotyping
• Experience of intracranial injections (stereotaxic surgery)
• Experience of writing ethical applications for in vivo studies
• Experience from working with biopharmaceuticals, as well as experience from drug discovery within industry or biotech.
