Location/Division Specific Information:

The Senior Manager, Product Quality position is based in Uppsala, Sweden at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Our site in Uppsala is the largest Swedish site for Thermo Fisher Scientific with around 800 employees and it is the global headquarters for one of the divisions, - the Immunodiagnostic Division (IDD) that manufactures and markets diagnostic tests for allergy and autoimmune diseases.

As head of the Product Quality department, you will have the opportunity to lead a team responsible for performing quality checks on chemicals, raw materials, and products. Also, you will lead the work with product follow-up and product- and process-related deviation investigations as well as meeting the company's needs for relevant HTS (Human Test Samples) to perform both quality controls and develop new products. You will ensure adherence to quality standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is a chance to make a significant impact in a world-class organization.

A day in the Life:

Lead and manage the Product Quality department. Coach the five subordinate managers to work together to ensure product quality, time, and cost targets are met. Ensure that the department works according to QSR and ISO and it is important that you work long-term and systematically and realize the importance of documentation and structure Collaborate with cross-functional teams to successfully implement operational plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Implement PPI/Lean Enterprise principles to improve quality and efficiency. Coach and develop employees, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Keys to Success:

Education:

Higher education (Master’s degree or equivalent) with a chemistry/chemical engineering or natural science focus.

Experience:

Proven experience of management within the pharmaceutical/medical technology industry.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Committed to delivering high-quality results with a comprehensive perspective. Capability to inspire change from start to finish. Strong communication and organizational skills. Proficient in Swedish and English. Experience with LEAN work is advantageous.
