Weâre excited to announce that weâll be looking to fill a large number of summer internship positions at our site in Uppsala to work with us over the summer of 2024. The summer internship positions are spread across various parts of our organization - from manufacturing and research to logistics, quality control and administration. Together with other summer interns, you get the opportunity to learn directly from area experts and try your wings in a vibrant organization with excellent career opportunities.

Weâre looking for three summer interns to join the Resin and Ligand Design department to assist in the development of chromatography resins and other consumables used in BioPharma manufacturing. You will be working within the Surface Design group, which is focusing on surface modification and coupling chemistry. As a summer intern with us, youâll get the opportunity to contribute to the development of disruptive products which are used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs.

What youâll do

This position has a strong focus on synthesis work in lab scale and hence the person suited for this opening should enjoy working in a chemistry lab.

More specifically your tasks will include:

• Perform experimental work within the area of surface chemistry/primary characterization
• Plan and accomplish given tasks with the support of the assigned supervisor
• Document and report results both orally and in a written form
• Conduct all tasks within the framework of Cytiva policies and guidelines

Who you are

• Ongoing studies within organic chemistry or polymer sciences.
• Experience working in a laboratory setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of polysaccharides is a plus.
• You communicate fluently in Swedish and English.

As a summer intern at Cytiva, it is required that you are at least 18 years of age and have a valid work permit.
