âJob title: Senior Construction Project Manager

Location: Stockholm, Stockholm County, Sweden (Hybrid)

As a Senior Construction Project Manager, you are the main responsible for the companyâs larger solar park projects, from planning and procurement to construction and commissioning. You are leading the project team, ensuring successful project delivery within the defined scope, timeline, and budget. You will collaborate internally with cross-functional teams and externally with clients, authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Project Planning:

  • Additionally, develop project plans including scope, deliverables, and timeline.

  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk assessments to ensure project viability and mitigate potential obstacles.

  • Furthermore, identify and procure necessary resources and permits.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory bodies, landowners, contractors, suppliers, and community members.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address concerns, obtain necessary approvals, and ensure compliance with regulations and agreements.

Project Leadership:

  • Lead and motivate a multidisciplinary project team, including engineers, designers, procurement specialists, site leads and construction personnel.

  • Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance to ensure project milestones are achieved effectively and efficiently.

Project Execution:

  • Oversee all aspects of project execution such as equipment procurement, construction activities, quality assurance, and safety protocols.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks or risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely completion.

Cost Control:

  • Furthermore, give input to and manage project budgets during projects.

  • In addition, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct regular financial analyses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement measures to optimize project profitability.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present project reports, status updates, and progress reviews to key stakeholders, senior management (and occasionally investors).

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance records.

Quality Assurance:

  • In addition, establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for all project deliverables.

  • Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

  • Promote and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental protocols across all project activities.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and implement measures to mitigate risks and minimize environmental impact.

  • Furthermore, Perform Safety Walks when visiting sites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in large-scale solar park projects or renewable energy projects.

  • Additionally, strong knowledge of solar energy systems, technologies, and project development processes.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams.

  • Moreover, demonstrated experience in project planning, budgeting, and resource management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and mitigating risks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

  • In addition, familiar with relevant industry standards, regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Furthermore, proficiency in project management tools and software.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly desirable.

  • Fluent in Swedish and English

  • Lastly, knowledge and/or education in electrical installations is a plus.
