We’re excited to announce that we’ll be looking to fill a large number of summer internship positions at our site in Uppsala to work with us over the summer of 2024. The summer internship positions are spread across various parts of our organization - from manufacturing and research to logistics, quality control and administration. Together with other summer interns, you get the opportunity to learn directly from area experts and try your wings in a vibrant organization with excellent career opportunities.

We’re looking for a summer intern to join our Trade operations function to assist in cross border challenges with import and export. Trade team is responsible for applying for export licenses of export controlled products as well as supporting the brokers to proceed with customs clearance. The EMEA Trade team consists of 6 trade specialists across several countries (Belgium UK, Sweden). Planning the work, collecting and handling broker escalations, analyzing and collecting records, creating standard procedures, supporting internal audit are the main scope of the work.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate Customs Clearance for Import/Export.

• Support in customs audits.

• Collect and analyze 3rd party and authority data in order to evaluate and drive Customs activities in EMEA region.

• Identify patterns, trends in metrics and investigate root cause, segregate, and highlight drivers, based on KPIs (key performance indicators).

• Partner with cross functions (Logistics, Sourcing, IT, Finance, etc.) to act on process improvement initiatives.

• Maintain central repository for customs records across the region.

• Support Preferential country of origin qualification process setup and data collection.

Who you are

• Ongoing studies within Logistics / Supply chain management.

• Practical experience in international logistics (import, export, trade agreements) is an advantage.

• Power user of MS XLS.

• Demonstrated ability in both oral and written communication required. Fluency in English.
