Each year, Volvo Cars welcome students as Summer Workers to our sites in Gothenburg, Olofström, Skövde och Lund. As a Summer Worker at Volvo Cars you can work in production, in one of our storages or at the office. Spending a few weeks in our team is a great way for you to get an insight to what life at Volvo Cars can be like and gives you a basic understanding of our operations. It also provides you with a strong network in our organization, which can be of value in your future career.  The number of Summer Worker positions and work areas varies from year to year.

Who we are?

Tyre is a critical component that influences multiple vehicle performances, including handling and steering, ride comfort, NVH and energy efficiency. It is a challenge task to balance among performances, cost and design. In order to make data-driven decision in early phase of projects, we need to expand our database, deepen our understanding on performance, cost and benchmark data.

We are now looking for summer workers to join our team.

 

What you will do?

In this project, we are looking for a challenge-taking summer work, with background in Complex Adaptive systems and mechanical engineering. The candidate is required to have good knowledge in Python or Matlab, and deep knowledge in using Microsoft Excel. The candidate should have experience in industries to work with large data, good at independent thinking and data searching. The candidate is expected to have a passion for data analytics and machine learning, comfortable to perform machine learning programming using python.

 

Period for summer work: between 1 June – 31 August, max 10 weeks. Start and end time to be discussed with recruiting manager.

Physical presence in Gothenburg is required.
